Worry On A One-Way Track

Have you ever noticed how those who struggle with anxiety are very good at focusing? I don’t know about you, but I can stay focused on worrying all day long, and I don’t stop there, I keep going Into the night too.
I also find myself so focused on what could happen, and it’s never good things that could happen. Nope, it has to be the worst-case scenario. When I worry, I worry like a pro. God has blessed me with so much, I don’t want to waste a good mind with thoughts straight from the Devil. What I put in; I will get out. The good and the bad. All of us have struggles of the flesh. It’s not just a daily thing, it’s an hourly thing. Another thing I waste on anxiety is planning. I’m a good planner, I like to plan every detail and will even make plans for others, whether they want it or not. I can be planning for ten years from now, but missing what God has planned for me right now. News flash to me and others like me-we can plan all we want, but God is the one in control. Thank God He is in control, because I know I can't handle it, I make a mess of things. And even though I think I’m good at things, I can mess up those as well. Don’t get me wrong, it is wise to be prepared for the future. Just don’t make that your only focus. Don’t make anything your focus before God.
“If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.”
Colossians 3:1
