Do you remember your parents or a teacher telling you that growing up? Some choices are pretty clear and simple. Our parents reminded us to not cross the street until you look both ways, don’t put that fork in the electrical outlet, and always wear clean underwear in case you get in an accident. The logic of parents! But what if some choices aren’t as clear cut? What if you have choices and they both look good or right? What do you do then? We can make a choice, thinking it’s good or correct and then look back and realize maybe it wasn’t so good after all.

Where do we go for the answers? I find myself often just stopping, praying, and even waiting until I feel directed to proceed. If you’re stuck at a crossroad, seek advice. Advice from mentors, people you trust and respect, but most of all, seek God first.

Sometimes I do this, and I still feel like I’m stuck. I am tempted to make any decision, because I hate waiting, but I’m not supposed to be on my timetable, but Gods. His timing is always perfect, much better than mine and He will always want what is the very best for you and I.

“But if any of you lacketh wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

James 1:5
