If you have struggled with anxiety, then maybe you have struggled with OCD at some point in your life, or like me, an almost daily battle. I have to stop and just pray, sing a line from a hymn, or simply call upon Jesus for help.

When you encounter your desire to entertain an unhealthy compulsion, stop and pray. Not a ritual prayer, which can sometimes be a compulsion itself, but a true heartfelt call upon Jesus, Saviour.

Ask Him for help, help to believe, help to persevere.

He is listening. Won’t you just stop and speak with him?

and shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye draw nigh this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your heart faint; fear not, nor tremble, neither be ye affrighted at them; for Jehovah your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Deuteronomy 20:3
