Knowledge Is Power

While this saying has probably been worn out, it is certainly true. Any great leader has to have knowledge to lead and direct. You must learn about your competition, as well as your customers, to effectively deliver. While knowledge is power, it never stays the same. It’s always changing, and there’s always something new on the horizon to contend with. Keep in mind your employees have knowledge to bring to the table. You may be the leader but may not always have the most knowledge or even the best ideas. Recognize the best idea, and praise those that had it. Don’t be afraid of sharing the driver seat at times. You may have to swallow your pride, but your team will respect you for it.

Pride goeth before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

Proverbs 16:18
