Keeping Faith

It is easy to keep faith when everything is sunshine and blue skies. It’s quite different when you’re in the tunnel with no light visible anywhere. You drop into depths of despair, pining for better days. Why do we never recognize those better days when we are in the midst of them? Why do we constantly take the good for granted and always complain about the bad? God never promised that life would be easy or even fair. However, He does promise that He is with us always. Not just during the good, but the bad as well. While it’s easy to stumble and fall in the dark again and again, get back up and grab hold of Jesus, He will be the light to get you through.

You may have to make this choice countless times a day, every day. We aren’t perfect and we fall again and again. Get back up, take a deep breath, and talk to God about what you’re feeling. You don’t have to hide your feelings from Him, He wants you to be honest, He already knows what you’re feeling, so nothing will come as a surprise. Just stop and talk and then listen, don’t forget to listen.

“He that giveth answer before he heareth, It is folly and shame unto him.”

Proverbs 18:13
