Hot and Cold

You have probably heard the parable of the built houses from the Bible.

One being built on sand and easily washed away, another built on rock that stood firm. Like those houses, we can hear the instruction of the Lord, but do we just listen, and not follow up, like the one built on sand? Or do we take that instruction, and build upon it, using God’s direction to put into action, like the house built upon rock?

Do we build our faith to withstand the storms of life? It is easy to stay firm when the waters are calm and cool, but do we fall apart at the first sight of a ripple in the waters? We are forewarned that there will be trials ahead of us. We may not want to hear that, but we are being told so that we can get prepared for battle. Now is the time to take God’s Word and get it deep inside of you, memorize it, instill it into your mind so that it may manifest into your life.

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. Behold, I have told you beforehand. If therefore they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the wilderness; go not forth: Behold, he is in the inner chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh forth from the east, and is seen even unto the west; so shall be the coming of the Son of man.”
