Everyone should be treated fairly and with equal respect, but that does not necessarily mean the same. Just as each of us is different, we are going to have different needs and different responses to management styles. You may have one employee who works great under pressure while another doesn’t work well with an overflowing plate. However, we all should be treated with consistency and equality for equal work as well as an equal reprimand. You cannot have favorites in the workplace, and all your relationships must be professional and above reproach or you will lose the respect of your team.

My brethren, hold not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.

James 2:1
