Do You Know It All?

I’ll be the first one to admit that I tend to plan everything. I’ll even catch myself planning for other people too! There is something about planning that makes me feel like I’m in control, that if I plan it all, it will just happen that way, and I sometimes find myself thinking that I know what is always best.

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, but a wake-up call- you’re not in control.  Nor should we be. We don’t always know what is best, only God knows what is best. I try to think that when I want something to work out a certain way, I try to talk to God about it. Let Him know my thoughts, desires, feelings. But ultimately, pray for God’s Will to be done, because I know His plan is better than any plan I could ever hope or imagine. Yes, we do have to make plans in life, but don’t try to exclude God, go to Him first. Don’t waste your time and energy planning for things to the point that you are missing out on the present and what God is trying to tell you. You might just miss exactly for what you were planning.

“Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value than they?”

Matthew 6:26
