Customers Are the Boss

We have heard it often enough, especially if you are in the retail business. Customers are right, even when they are wrong, and if you win an argument with a customer, then you probably lost that customer. It may mean occasionally eating humble pie, which is not very tasty but sometimes necessary if you want to keep your customers. Keep in mind that customers ultimately write your paycheck and you must cater to customers’ demands. This does not mean doing something unethical or illegal just to make them happy. Don’t sacrifice your standards for an unscrupulous customer. However, do remember that one unhappy customer will not remain just one. They will tell their family and friends and so on. Like rabbits, they tend to multiply.
