Are You Thriving or Just Surviving?

Life can be hard, I think most of us would agree on that, now more than ever. We are living in the end times, and I personally believe that we likely have it harder mentally than previous generations. We try to make things faster, easier, smarter, and there have been some amazing inventions and advancements.
Praise God for the lives that have been blessed and saved through modern innovations. Yet, we must also look at the flip side of the damage that has come with a virtual world, with less and less personal interaction and more stress in our society, workplaces, homes, etc.
While we may blame this gadget or that new phone, we really have to look at the source. Is it the items that are being invented or the humans that aren’t being responsible with these inventions? Our society today seems farther away from God than ever before. We have the choice of where to put our focus, our resources, and our priorities. While just about anything can be used as a tool to pull our focus away from God, it is up to us to decide to put our focus on God.
“Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise; redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”
Ephesians 5:15-17
