Once I heard this, it made me truly think twice about how to respond to situations that occur every day in the workplace. How often does something happen that doesn’t go our way and we tend to act like a petulant child? Next time something happens, keep in mind that often 10 percent is what happens to us and 90 percent is how we react to it. We didn’t get that promotion this time, a supply order will be delayed, we lost a big client, etc. Some things we can fix, but we often cause more problems for ourselves and others around us with how we respond to situations. Keep levelheaded, and instead of whining, get down to business and make it work.
