If you’ve ever been spooked by a horse, then you know it’s

Important that you don’t let fear keep you from getting back in the saddle. The longer you wait, the harder it will be. Fear and guilt can keep you from God’s blessings and peace. Fear keeps us from action because we are afraid of the unknown or what could happen if we fail. This is a natural reaction, especially if you struggle with anxiety. But you will regret it. You may have a temporary relief, but that is short lived and doesn’t solve the issue at hand. Guilt also keeps us from trying again, afraid we don’t deserve another chance. We feel that since we already messed up, it’s too late, so what’s the point? Guess what? We don’t deserve another chance, we don’t deserve all the gifts God has given us. They are simply that-gifts. Gifts are not earned nor deserved. We are sinners, all of us. Not just the ones whose sins are obvious. Some can hide their sin behind a facade, but don’t fool yourself into thinking that the sin is any better than the other. God has a purpose for all of us. Every single person has a purpose, it may not be fulfilled, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t meant for one.  Don’t let fear and guilt keep you from God’s purpose for your life. Don’t make excuses, because we all have those too. Don’t let Satan take more from you, he has already taken enough.

“for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:”

Romans 3:23

It is not just a cliche. Our mental health plays an impact on our physical health. Health anxiety can be truly debilitating, I have experienced it firsthand. I know Satan uses it as a tool to get me down, scared, and overwhelmed.

I find my mind thinking and focusing on the lies that Satan is trying to feed me. Stand Strong! Do not fall prey but pray to God for help! Ask for strength and intervention on your behalf.

While God never promised that life will be easy, He did promise that we will have the promises He has given us, according to His will. God does not want you to be full of fear and despondency.

He wants us to have joy and peace that surpasses all understanding, that is only possible with God. Nothing but God can fill that void. Nothing.

“These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

I have struggled with anxiety for most of my entire adult life and probably most of my childhood. There weren't clinical names for many mental illnesses back when I was a kid, and I never spoke up to express what I was feeling. Maybe I didn’t even realize what I was feeling, although I often felt like the odd one out. As I have gotten older, I realize we all sometimes feel like the odd one out. We are all hurting at one point or another, many just wear a mask to hide our feelings. Anxiety is often a daily struggle, and yes, I am under a doctor's care for it. While I am thankful for the help in managing it, I also know I would be lost in life without my faith. God’s peace is an experience that nothing can come close to. I also know God intended us for relationships, and I need to be a part of this world and help this world, the way God intended. While there are many days that I could be a hermit, God wants more for me and for you. Life can be scary, but Trust God, He is always there for you.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand; and it shineth unto all that are in the house. Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:14 NKJV
