Inspect What You Expect

Yes, it’s a pain at first. Why should you have to go over what you delegated? When you assign a new task, take the time to ensure they know how you want it completed. Don’t just presume. Show them. It not only ensures you are both on the same page but also makes things easier and quicker in the long run. The expectations will be precise, and accountability will be clear. It will also instill pride in your employees for a job well done.

Where no wise guidance is, the people falleth; But in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

Seek First to Understand

He said, she said; water cooler drama; the tattletale. Chances are that when it finally gets to you, the story is quite different from reality. Be cautious, hold your tongue, listen to all applicable parties, and take time to unearth all the facts. Avoid taking sides or rushing to judgment until you have gathered all the information. It will save you a headache or two, as you will have enough of those along the way.

Happy Employees Equal Happy Customers

Have you ever heard that your company is in the hands of your employees? Watch out; it is likely true! Be careful to hire the right people for the right jobs. They will be a reflection of you and your company. Once you have the right employees, take the time to create an environment your employees will be happy in. It will pay off with a satisfied team taking care of your customers.
