Yes, it’s a pain at first. Why should you have to go over what you delegated? When you assign a new task, take the time to ensure they know how you want it completed. Don’t just presume. Show them. It not only ensures you are both on the same page but also makes things easier and quicker in the long run. The expectations will be precise, and accountability will be clear. It will also instill pride in your employees for a job well done.

He said, she said; water cooler drama; the tattletale. Chances are that when it finally gets to you, the story is quite different from reality. Be cautious, hold your tongue, listen to all applicable parties, and take time to unearth all the facts. Avoid taking sides or rushing to judgment until you have gathered all the information. It will save you a headache or two, as you will have enough of those along the way.
